In her keynote speech at YRDSB’s Equity Symposium on November 22, Njeri Damali Sojourner-Campbell will explore the intersection of human rights and equity and how legislation—including the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Education Act—influences YRDSB’s equity-related priorities, policies and procedures.
Njeri is recognized as a thought leader in human rights and equity in Ontario’s education sector. A trusted advisor to directors of education and supervisory officers in numerous boards across the province, she advises on complex human rights law and education matters on a daily basis. With a Master’s degree in education with a focus on anti-oppression and decolonization of schooling of Black and racialized youth, Njeri is uniquely positioned to provide legal advice solidly grounded in legal and academic best practices.
