We are pleased to announce that Rebecca Liu and Njeri Damali Sojourner-Campbell have joined the firm’s partnership.

Rebecca Liu

Rebecca is a labour lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office. She predominantly represents unionized employers, with a particular focus in the healthcare, municipal, transportation and nuclear sectors. As an experienced litigator, she represents employers in grievance arbitrations, interest arbitrations, labour board proceedings and human rights complaints.

Rebecca is committed to understanding her clients’ business needs and operations. She prides herself on being a trusted advisor and problem-solver for her clients’ human resources and labour relations needs. A responsive and accessible lawyer, Rebecca takes the time to understand how a particular inquiry or case affects each client’s overall business and long-term goals.

Njeri Damali Sojourner-Campbell

Njeri is a labour, employment and human rights lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office. She has appeared as counsel before human rights adjudicators and labour arbitrators on matters related to workplace harassment, discrimination, accommodation, academic hiring and policy issues, and she has been an advisor on collective bargaining including in negotiations and rights arbitration for broader public sector organizations.

Njeri  regularly advises employers and service providers on complex and emerging human rights issues. She is a recognized thought leader in human rights law, with unique expertise in school boards, colleges and universities.

A creative and practical problem-solver, Njeri also helps employers realize the potential of their workplaces through policy development and legal training.
