We Welcome Five New Associates to the Firm
Hicks Morley is pleased to announce that five new associates have joined the firm in our Toronto and Waterloo offices.
Quinn Brown has joined the firm as an associate in our Toronto office. Quinn received her Juris Doctor from Queen’s University. During her time at Queen’s, she completed a Public International Law certification in England and received the McDougall-Watson Memorial Award for her contribution as a caseworker at Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic. In her upper years at law school, Quinn worked at Queen’s Prison Law Clinic representing inmates before disciplinary tribunals and was published in the Phillipe Kirsch Institute Global Justice Journal. Before attending law school, Quinn received her Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University and worked in the United Nations system in research and advocacy roles.
Justin Choy has joined the firm as an associate in our Toronto office. Justin received his Juris Doctor from Western University, graduating on the Dean’s Honour List. At Western Law, Justin advocated for Olympic-level athletes as a case worker for the Sport Solution Clinic and mediated small disputes in the Dispute Resolution Centre. Justin also served as the co-chair of Western Law’s Labour and Employment Law Society and as the student member-at-large of the Ontario Bar Association’s Labour and Employment Law Section.
Artimes Ghahremani has joined the firm as an associate in our Toronto office. Artimes received her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. During law school, she engaged in clinic work with Artists’ Legal Advice Services and at Downtown Legal Services, where she served as a caseworker in the Employment Law and Academic Appeals Division. Prior to law school, Artimes earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in criminal and sociolegal studies at the University of Toronto and completed a Master’s Degree in the same program contemporaneous with her Juris Doctor.
Brooklyn Hallam has joined the firm as an associate in our Waterloo office. Brooklyn received her Juris Doctor from Western University where she worked as a supervisor at Community Legal Services. During her time at Western, she was also a student ambassador, research assistant for Professor Wade Wright, and competitor in numerous advocacy competitions including the external labour arbitration competition. Prior to law school, Brooklyn worked as a human resources assistant for a large automotive company where she discovered her love of labour and employment and had the chance to assist facilities in Ontario, Michigan, China and Slovakia.
Diane Harbin has joined the firm as an associate in our Toronto office. Diane obtained her Juris Doctor from Western University’s Faculty of Law. While at Western, Diane volunteered with the Sport Solution Clinic and the Dispute Resolution Centre, worked as both a teaching assistant and a research assistant, and was selected for an international internship with the Aston Martin Formula 1 team. Prior to law school, Diane earned an Honours Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from Queen’s University.
