Join the HRPA Brockville & District Chapter for its first event of the membership year; Cannabis in the Workplace
Members and non-members welcome!
The evening will begin with a tour of Canopy Growth/Tweed Inc. at 1 Hershey Drive, Smiths Falls (meet at 5pm sharp at the main entrance).
Immediately following the tour, the group will meet for a legal presentation by Vince Panetta of Hicks Morley and dinner (included) at Chuckle Jack’s, 23 Russell St. E, Smiths Falls.
With incoming legalization of recreational marijuana, there is a lot of focus on its potential impact on the workplace.
But has anything really changed for employers?
The aim of this presentation is to:
- help explain where cannabis and the workplace meet,
- how medical versus recreational cannabis features in the workplace, and
- how best to meet your obligations as an employer under various federal and provincial statutes.
