Nabila Farid

Summer Student, Lincoln Alexander

Biography

Nabila Farid is a 2L student at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law. Prior to attending law school, she graduated with distinction from the University of British Columbia, receiving a Master of public policy and global affairs. She also received a B.A. in law and society from the University of Calgary.

Prior to starting her legal education, Nabila served as a policy analyst specializing in urban development and housing equity issues. Nabila also served as an executive member of the students’ union at the University of Calgary and advocated to three levels of government in relation to a variety of student issues.

Nabila is an active member of the Lincoln Alexander community. She served as a criminal law caseworker with the Pardons Clinic, and she is currently a student ambassador with the Student Experience & Engagement team. Nabila continues to hone her advocacy skills by participating in numerous mooting competitions, including most recently in the Gale Cup Moot. Nabila’s interest for labour and employment law stems from her regulatory policy background and dedication to advocacy.

In her spare time, Nabila enjoys travelling, attending basketball games, and watching true crime documentaries.
