Biography
Nigel Olesen received his Juris Doctor from Western University where he graduated with distinction. Prior to attending law school, he studied economics at the University of Regina, receiving the University Gold Medal.
As a law student, Nigel was a teaching assistant for “Legal Research, Writing and Advocacy”. He also frequently participated in advocacy competitions, finishing as a top 5 oralist at the Laskin Moot and Lerners LLP Cup. In addition, Nigel received various academic awards during his studies, including the Law Society of Ontario Prize for graduating in the top 15 students of his class and the J.S.D. Tory Writing Prize.
Outside of the classroom, Nigel played basketball for King’s University College. He can frequently be found at the court trying to improve his mediocre jump-shot.
