Overview
Regardless of the jurisdiction involved, human rights complaints take a notoriously long time to work their way through the system. Recently, a number of human rights commissions and tribunals across the country have made changes to their processes in an attempt to be more responsive to the parties’ needs and improve the time it takes to resolve a complaint.
This webinar will look at the changes that have been implemented in British Columbia (including the introduction of a BC Commission), Alberta and Ontario and the following will be discussed:
- The changes which have been implemented in each province;
- Experiences with the new processes; and
- Tips and strategies on how best to achieve a satisfactory outcome using Tribunal processes.
