Overview
Safe sport has become an important and highly publicized issue, and sport organizations across Canada must determine how to administer their safe sport complaint and discipline management processes. In this complimentary webinar we will look at the obligations set out in the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS) and discuss ways to incorporate the requirements into your organization.
Format
We have developed this one-hour virtual session for legal counsel, safe sport officers and other individuals responsible for developing and administering safe sport policies and codes of ethics at sport governing bodies, universities, colleges and all other sporting organizations required or looking to adopt UCCMS guidelines.
Through a series of presentations, case studies and an exploration of frequently asked questions, attendees will develop a full understanding of their roles and responsibilities in ensuring a respectful sport culture. All participants will be provided a toolkit to help them action these requirements in their sport organization following the webinar.

By the end of this program, attendees will understand:
- UCCMS requirements and how UCCMS differs from human rights and health and safety legislation
