Social media has changed the way we do business – and created new challenges for employers.

In this session, we will review and discuss:

  • The latest case law on the ability of employers to discipline and/or terminate for off-duty conduct on social media
  • How employers should respond when their employees become the target of social media harassment
  • Investigating employee mis(use) of social media

Learning Objective:

By the end of this session, attendees will:

  • Understand when off-duty conduct on social media is culpable
  • Understand the organizational obligations when faced with social media harassment
  • Understand how the Rules of Professional Conduct apply in the circumstances
  • Understand the boundaries between privacy and the employer’s need to investigate misconduct
