Overview

Since the beginning of the pandemic, compliance with occupational health and safety obligations remains critical as enforcement measures increase, workers become more concerned about the safety of the workplace and the nature of workplace hazards continues to shift. Join our health and safety experts as they guide you through some of the key employer obligations under health and safety legislation, common questions, and current issues facing employers.

Format

In this Advantage CPD webinar, we will provide information on both the essentials of health and safety compliance as well as current trends, including:

  • What the main employer obligations are (including the ones most often overlooked!)
  • How to proactively take steps to protect your workers and defend against potential charges
  • How to manage a health and safety inspector’s visit
  • How to balance accommodation requests and health and safety obligations

Audience and Learning Objectives

The goal of the webinar is to assist employers to better understand their obligations under health and safety legislation, protect workers, manage inspectors, and to address some common current health and safety issues.

This webinar will include an interactive Q&A feature. A panel discussion will be built into the last 15 minutes of the session to address audience questions that are submitted.

Hicks Morley will endeavour to accommodate guests with a disability in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code guidelines and other applicable legislation.
