Overview
The recently passed Bill 27: Working for Workers Act, 2021 brought interesting amendments to Ontario’s Employment Standards Act, 2000, such as the prohibition of non-competition agreements, new licensing and regulatory requirements for temporary help agencies and recruiters, and the requirement for employers to implement disconnecting from work policies.
Jacqueline Luksha and Andrew Movrin will discuss these changes, with a particular emphasis on disconnecting from work policies and the requirement to have these policies in place. The presentation will provide audience members with knowledge of the new changes, what is currently required and what employers need to start thinking about when preparing their own disconnecting from work policies.
